The Metallurgical Engineer supports manufacturing processes, resolves quality issues, and evaluates products based on customer requirements.

Manage customer connections by facilitating communication between customers and various departments, resolve issues, provide feedback to teams, and handle order processes.

Support and lead plate manufacturing processes: ensure product/process control, resolve quality issues, develop products/processes/equipment per customer requirements, and collaborate with support staff, shift leaders, and hourly workforce. May require off-shift or weekend work.

Manage customer relationships and order execution: quote follow-up, order entry, post-order issue resolution, liaison between customer, plant, quality, supply chain and finance, and support sales leadership to negotiate pricing, delivery and claims.

Provide electrical engineering support to maintenance, safety, quality, and operations in a finishing/mill environment. Troubleshoot and root-cause equipment/process issues, develop engineered solutions, manage large equipment rebuild projects, implement preventative maintenance, and support quality, safety, and environmental objectives.

Lead and execute enterprise-wide strategic sourcing projects from needs assessment through contracting. Drive cost-savings, negotiate complex contracts, manage supplier selection/onboarding, engage stakeholders, develop procurement capabilities, and report sourcing KPIs.

Provide mechanical engineering support for the Plate Mill to improve safety, reliability, output, and quality. Lead mechanical system integration for projects from concept to commissioning, manage vendors/contractors, use project management tools, support problem-solving and process/machine improvements, and collaborate with engineers, maintenance, and production.

The Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering support to improve reliability, manage projects, coordinate phases, and optimize equipment in the aluminum manufacturing environment.

The Metallurgical Engineer leads process metallurgy improvements, troubleshooting, ensuring product quality, and compliance with standards, while providing technical support and driving cost reductions.
