Rachel Cromidas is a features editor at Built In. She joined the company in 2019 and was previously the editor of the news site Chicagoist and a reporter for the Chicago Tribune, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. She believes we may be living in a simulation.
Joe Erbentraut is a news editor at Built In and joined the company in January of 2020. He previously worked as a senior reporter and editor at HuffPost and his writing has also appeared in outlets including the Village Voice, Fodor’s, Gapers Block, OMGFacts and Windy City Times.
Molly Fosco is a staff reporter for Built In, covering the San Francisco tech market. She joined the company in 2019 and primarily writes about diversity and inclusion efforts, new product launches and up-and-coming trends in tech. Molly was previously a tech reporter for OZY Media and her work has appeared in HuffPost and Discovery News, among other outlets.
Ellen Glover is a news reporter for Built In. She started at the company in 2019 and is responsible for covering breaking news in the tech industry. She previously worked as a reporter for the Invisible Institute, covering issues involving police accountability and wrongful convictions. Her work has also appeared in WNYC, USA Today and Science Node.
Stephen Gossett is a staff reporter for Built In. He writes features primarily on data science and analytics. He joined the site in 2019 and previously covered hyperlocal news and design.

Nick Jackson is the director of growth content for Built In. He joined the company in 2020 and oversees the editorial content team, which reports and writes news, features and other forms of editorial designed to instruct, inform and inspire technology professionals who visit our local market sites and BuiltIn.com. He previously worked as the editor-in-chief of Pacific Standard, the digital editorial director of Outside and as an associate editor of The Atlantic, where he launched the magazine’s health, technology and science coverage areas.
Ryan Jacobs is a senior editor at Built In. He joined the company in 2020 and is currently building the expert contributor team, which will publish dispatches and commentary written by working technology professionals. He previously worked as the deputy editor of Pacific Standard and as a writer and producer at The Atlantic, where he covered international affairs and crime. His debut narrative nonfiction book, The Truffle Underground, was published by Clarkson Potter/Random House in June 2019.
