Job Summary:

The Senior Procurement Site Leader (North America) is responsible for leading procurement operations across multiple sites, ensuring consistent execution, strong governance, and alignment with regional and global procurement strategies.

This role provides direct leadership to site buyers and matrix leadership across additional locations, driving operational excellence, supplier performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. The position serves as a critical link between plant operations, category management, and executive procurement leadership.

  • Build and develop strong, capable Site Leads and teams
  • Drive standardization while respecting site-specific operational realities

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Drive operational excellence and consistency across all North American sites
  • Ensure best total cost outcomes and value delivery
  • Strengthen supplier performance and supply continuity
  • Maintain high compliance, audit readiness, and governance standards
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Procurement Site Buyers (direct reports) across multiple locations
  • Translate regional and global procurement strategies into site-level execution
Qualifications

You have: (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive procurement and/or supply chain experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience.
  • Proven experience overseeing multi-site operations.
  • Experience with ERP Systems (oracle, SAP or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrix organization across multiple site, regional, and global teams.
  • Experience driving procurement transformation, centralization, or shared service models. 
  • Can show you have experience with procurement operations and tactical sourcing, supplier performance management and escalation and contract compliance and governance (SOX environments).
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.

  • MBA or related graduate degree.
  • Profession certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPIM)
  • Background in Lean/Six Sigma/continuous improvement.
  • Strong track record of driving operational performance and process standardization across multiple locations.
  • Proven ability to manage in high-pressure, plant-driven environments with competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability.
  • Excellent communication and executive stakeholder engagement skills.

About the Team
Davenport Works is the country’s largest aluminum rolling mill, it was opened in 1948 and currently employs more than 2,000 people and ships product worldwide.  It is in Riverdale in the Quad Cities (Davenport and Bettendorf in southeastern Iowa, and Rock Island and Moline in northwestern Illinois).  The Quad Cities is 3 hours south-west of Chicago, 4 hours north of St. Louis, and less than 3 hours from Des Moines.  The Quad Cities is home to St. Ambrose University among 8 educational institutes.  Major outdoor summer music festivals include the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival, Mississippi Valley Blues Festival, and River Roots Live.
