Develop complex mechanical designs, layouts, stack-ups, detail drawings, and assemblies with minimal supervision. Supports automated system and software verification for automotive powertrain products. Responsibilities include developing test scripts, executing regression and performance testing, documenting and tracking issues, maintaining requirements traceability, creating validation plans, and supporting testing across electrical benches, Power HIL, high-voltage integration, dyno, and motor simulation environments. The intern collaborates with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams and gains experience with MATLAB/Simulink and NI VeriStand.

Supports hardware and software system integration for electrification products. Responsibilities include developing integration strategies, conducting hardware and software testing, preparing results, configuring test benches, troubleshooting products, supporting manufacturing processes, participating in peer reviews, and collaborating with system test and test automation engineers.

Supports customer automotive programs from planning through production launch, coordinating timelines, resources, documentation, APQP requirements, cost objectives, quality gates, and customer communications. The intern assists with continuous improvement of program management processes, financial tracking, presentations, safety compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, customers, and senior management.

Supports structural analysis of electric drive designs by investigating process gaps, developing FEA methods, documenting work instructions, analyzing components with FEA software, and evaluating advanced software features. The role requires engineering knowledge, analytical and statistical skills, effective communication, teamwork, and ANSYS Workbench experience. It is intended for a currently enrolled or recently graduated engineering student participating in a summer internship program.

Supports procurement systems and supply chain data initiatives through requirements documentation, data validation, reporting, user acceptance testing, process mapping, supplier master-data maintenance, issue tracking, and training materials. The intern analyzes data from Excel, Power BI, SAP, SPS, Ivalua, and related systems; helps improve supplier performance reporting and process efficiency; and presents findings to cross-functional stakeholders.

Supervises product design activities, develops 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, supports CAE simulations, and applies engineering standards, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes. Provides technical direction to customers and engineers, presents analysis results, administers CAE user groups, supports quality and safety requirements, and coaches junior designers. The role also contributes to product development, component assembly, product data management, and CAD automation.

Manages master production schedules, inventory, production plans, forecasts, and short- and long-term capacity analysis. Uses JDE/MRPII and ERP systems to improve scheduling, inventory tracking, and production efficiency. Coordinates Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and management teams to resolve capacity constraints, meet schedules, control inventory, and implement corrective actions. Produces variance and scrap reports, supports pull-system implementation, and contributes to safety activities and employee training.

Designs and evaluates automotive products across development phases, ensuring performance specifications and packaging constraints are met. Leads proof-of-concept assessments, design refinements, DFMEA and DVP&R reviews, prototype diagnostics, customer technical meetings, and product releases. Identifies new product concepts and supports manufacturing improvements, quality enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives. Responsible for completing safety training and complying with workplace safety requirements.
