College/university students can intern at WTNH/News 8 for Fall 2026 to gain hands-on experience and academic credit in news and broadcasting while working alongside station professionals.

Direct and technically produce AM newscasts, coordinate technical operators, ensure broadcast quality, work with producers for visual presentation, and perform audio, live feed operations, editing, and teleprompting as needed.

Shoot, produce, and edit short- and long-form lifestyle and community videos for broadcast and digital platforms. Collaborate with creative and sales teams, manage multiple projects, operate/maintain video equipment, and deliver on-brand marketing content under tight deadlines.

Anchors and presents news across platforms, writes and edits stories, produces newscasts, reports from the field, conducts interviews, responds to breaking news, edits video, creates web/eMedia content, engages on social media, and supports promotional and team activities.

The News Producer creates and produces newscasts, writes and edits content, and handles social media interaction while managing multiple tasks.

The Multimedia Journalist Reporter creates and edits news content for various platforms, conducts interviews, pitches stories, and ensures journalistic integrity. Responsibilities include researching, organizing material, and engaging with audiences on social media.

The Production Assistant operates cameras, produces graphics, and collaborates with directors to capture scenes for broadcasts. Responsibilities include setup, maintenance, and technical adjustments of equipment during live and recorded production.

Work 20–30 hours/week for up to 12 weeks across News, Production, Promotions, Sales, and Administration learning broadcast journalism tasks: MMJ reporting, photography, editing, and station operations. Supervised, unpaid internship with hands-on rotations to explore broadcast roles.

Report and produce education news for all platforms: research, shoot, write, voice, edit, and present stories. Arrange interviews, fact-check, pitch story ideas, interact on social media, and meet editorial and production standards.

Sell television and digital advertising by calling on existing and prospective clients, develop and maintain accounts, prepare presentations, create advertising schedules, collaborate with station personnel, and exceed revenue goals.
