Maintains, troubleshoots, modifies, and optimizes automated paint-system PLC/HMI controls, Fanuc robots, electrical systems, and paint application equipment. The role manages software standards, backups, change control, documentation, preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis, system enhancements, spare parts, and capital projects. It also supports maintenance personnel, coordinates vendors and facility engineers, ensures safety and quality standards, and recommends improvements to manufacturing processes.

The Quality Engineer monitors supplier performance, manages customer and supplier PPAP approvals, coordinates APQP for new programs and product changes, and supports IATF 16949 quality-system requirements. Responsibilities include leading QOS activities, corrective and preventive action, developing control plans and PFMEAs, conducting audits, reporting quality-system performance to management, and ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and material-management standards.

Leads root-cause investigations of field-returned automotive electronics using bench, board-level, component, mechanical, and product performance testing. Diagnoses failure modes, collaborates with hardware and software engineering teams on product improvements, documents investigations, and supports quality teams with 8D reports and customer responses. The role also performs soldering and IC swaps, investigates no-trouble-found conditions, and contributes to continuous improvement of radar products.

Supports bill-of-materials cost development, sourcing execution, RFQs, customer quotations, quote evaluation, sourcing decisions, supplier negotiations, cost modeling, and supplier relationship management for automotive electronics programs. Collaborates with purchasing, category, engineering, and supplier quality teams while tracking costs, resolving issues, and supporting continuous improvement.
