Coordinates activities of tool design to facilitate production or procurement of tooling. Determines the most effective manufacturing process while sustaining the most efficient cost. Prepares the initial specification of tooling for specific programs and/or products. Coordinates tuning of tooling for fit and function
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent certification from a four-year college or technical school or ten years’ experience in applicable role
- Journeyman card in tool and die qualification preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of Automotive process and stamping tooling experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience liaising with outside vendors preferred
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project Planner)
- Operational knowledge of ISO/TS16949 Core Tools
- Operational knowledge of AIAG industry standards
- Proficiency in Metallurgy of steel & applications
- Ability to interpret simulation software’s (AutoForm, Dynaform, PamStamp)
- Proficiency in modeling software AutoCAD, CATIA, Teamcenter
- Proficiency of GD&T & Blueprints
- Operate standard office equipment
