Own the architecture and technical direction of Fanatics’ high-volume payments platform. Design Java and Spring Boot services for deposits, withdrawals, checkout, provider orchestration, routing, reconciliation, and failure handling. Lead integrations with processors and banking partners, ensure PCI and regulatory compliance, improve payment costs and reliability, and collaborate across Fraud, Finance, Legal, Compliance, product, and engineering teams. Mentor engineers, lead architectural reviews and incident postmortems, and occasionally travel for planning or industry events.

Lead the engineering team responsible for Fanatics’ shared balance and ledger platform. Oversee secure, reliable, auditable services handling customer funds; guide wallet migrations, reconciliation, and rollback planning; define technical roadmaps; and maintain operational excellence. Hire, coach, and develop engineers while partnering with Product, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Payments, and executive stakeholders. Drive architecture, incident reviews, scalable delivery, and resolution of technical and regulatory risks.

Manages the People Systems portfolio and serves as the technical liaison between People Operations, IT, Corporate, vendors, and AI teams. Oversees Oracle HCM and other HR platforms, integrations, permissions, workflow automation, troubleshooting, vendor relationships, and RFPs. Leads system improvement projects, change management, testing, AI enablement, process documentation, and scalability assessments while supporting cross-functional People initiatives.

Own Fanatics Casino’s promotional generosity strategy, budget allocation, and Return to Customer efficiency. Build flow-through models connecting promotional spend to player value, including casino and sportsbook cross-sell economics. Partner with Finance, CRM, Product, and Analytics to develop investment cases, monitor cohort and promotion performance, and optimize promotional strategy for sustainable growth.

Leads and scales engineering teams delivering customer-facing mobile and backend software. Responsibilities include technical leadership, architecture, project delivery, Agile/Scrum execution, roadmap planning, KPI-driven improvement, AI-assisted engineering adoption, stakeholder communication, recruiting, and cross-functional alignment. The role remains technically engaged while coaching engineers and supporting high-quality, reliable software delivery. Occasional travel to offices, conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities is required.
