The intern collaborates with technical teams in a fast-paced environment, applies theatrical and entertainment industry standards, and uses AutoCAD while developing knowledge of technical theater, engineering practices, and show systems such as lighting, audio, video, construction, and rigging.

Performs mechanical design, surface modeling of organic shells and skins for audio-animatronic figures, tracks production floor changes, and develops knowledge of animatronic figure design. The intern may also work with 3D modeling, mechanical analysis, 3D printing, tooling, manufacturing processes, and material sciences.

Supports ride system development through mechanical analysis, mechanism and machine design, CAD modeling, prototyping, simulation, testing, and technical documentation. The intern collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering teams and provides ride system interface information. The role emphasizes learning across control, software, hardware, mechanical, and attraction development disciplines.

Supports Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club pricing and revenue management through historical pricing and booking analysis, demand research, inventory and pricing implementation, industry reporting, and ad hoc data projects. The intern researches incremental revenue opportunities, develops reports, and presents recommendations to leadership while contributing to short- and long-term revenue goals.

Supports ride control system development for Disney attractions through prototyping, simulation, testing, electrical and electronic system design, data communication analysis, technical documentation, and CAD drawings. Works within a multidisciplinary engineering team and partners with a mentor on attraction development projects.

Computer Science or Computer Engineering interns support safety analytics, software services, process-control systems, hardware and software interface resolution, and the design, fabrication, and testing of ride systems and other engineering improvements. Interns may work with C++, C#, Python, Node.js, databases, cloud technologies, and related development practices. The internship runs January through June 2027 in the Walt Disney World area, with full-time weekday availability and occasional weekends or holidays required.

Assists with designing, documenting, producing, installing, testing, adjusting, maintaining, and supporting turnover of special effects systems for Disney attractions. Collaborates with project teams, production staff, and coordinated teams from concept through close-out. Provides field installation support, maintenance and operations training assistance, and post-turnover support. Uses creative and technical methods involving optics, mechanics, materials, projection equipment, and SolidWorks.

Supports graphic design projects for Disney Parks, Resorts, and Ships by creating information design presentations, signage, show graphics, technical documentation, illustrations, photographs, scaled images, and research. The intern assists with environmental graphic design development and signage documentation while collaborating on creative projects. A portfolio review is required, along with proficiency in design tools and enrollment as a junior or higher in a relevant degree program.

Supports Walt Disney World procurement activities through data cleansing, price matching, reporting, inventory analysis, process documentation, logistics and expediting, and customer service troubleshooting. The intern works with food and beverage systems including CrunchTime and Blue Yonder, with possible SAP involvement, while assisting leaders on systems and process projects. The internship runs January through June 2027, requires 40 hours weekly, and is based in the Orlando area.
