Develops and delivers transportation-related training, curriculum, and assessments for NDOT and local agencies; coordinates statewide training programs, provides technical assistance on regulations and best practices, leads outreach and program evaluation, and supports implementation of policy and workforce development initiatives.

Perform tax and financial audits to ensure compliance with Nebraska tax laws; analyze complex transactions, lead audit engagements, guide audit teams, prepare findings, and interact with taxpayers and stakeholders.

Administer driver license exams (automobile, motorcycle, CDL); verify identity, residency, and documentation; evaluate driving performance; process licensing transactions; maintain motor vehicle records; provide customer service and fraud detection; perform office operations including cash handling and equipment troubleshooting; occasional travel between testing locations.

Provide legal research, analysis, and drafting; advise agency leadership on compliance, risk, and policy; represent/support administrative hearings; supervise attorneys and legal staff; coordinate with external legal partners and manage workflow and quality within the legal unit.

Perform accounts payable and related accounting tasks: enter payments, pre-audit employee expense reimbursements, create 3-way matches, process contractor payments and journal vouchers, assist with accounts receivable, and perform other assigned accounting duties using NDOT and state accounting systems.

Represent the State of Nebraska in civil litigation across state and federal courts. Manage cases from investigation through trial and possible appeal, conduct discovery, depositions, motions practice, hearings, and draft pleadings and briefs. Provide legal counsel to state agencies and officials, collaborate with other DOJ bureaus, and contribute to high-profile, complex constitutional and statutory matters.

Lead the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing by directing strategy, program implementation, budgeting, personnel management, legislative advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and outreach to ensure accessibility and services for Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard of Hearing Nebraskans.

Review intakes and analyze medical, financial, and Medicaid claims data to identify fraud patterns; prepare reports, spreadsheets, and graphs; apply Medicaid regulations to findings; serve as evidence custodian and support multidisciplinary investigative teams.
