Job Description:
This position’s primary responsibilities include providing help Desk Support, implementing and supporting agency computers and peripherals, and performing basic system administration.
This is an 11-month temporary position. Candidates are expected to work in person, Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM for an 11-month period, followed by a 1-month break in service.
JOB DUTIES:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the IT help desk.
• Receive, log and track user calls related to technical issues and inquiries.
• Respond to user requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for PC’s, peripherals, and mobile devices both onsite and remotely.
• Assist staff with installation of software and new computer setups.
• Create, test, and deploy workstation images.
• Perform workstation deployment via Microsoft Configuration Manager.
• Assist staff with video conferencing equipment and software.
• Install and update computer workstations, printers and peripherals, and client software.
• Manage inventory of computer equipment, maintain inventory systems, and prepare equipment for surplus.
• Coordinate vendor maintenance and repair activities.
• Manage domain user accounts and workstation information.
• Assist with projects and perform administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in computer science and two years of related technical and business experience. Two years of related technical and business experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. OR post high school coursework in computer science and three years of related technical and business experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Other:
Valid driver’s license is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Operate, install, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot a wide range of technical computer equipment, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, audio/visual devices, and mobile technology.
- Work directly with end users to diagnose and resolve computer and network issues.
- Demonstrate familiarity with local area networks (LAN) and remote access troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate familiarity with iOS and Android operating systems.
- Analyze and evaluate software and hardware products and upgrades.
- Maintain attention to detail and adhere to all Agency rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff and colleagues.
- Demonstrate skills in time-management, documentation, organization and communication.
- Organize, prioritize, and coordinate workload activities.
- Effectively multi-task and perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, twist, climb, and lift 50 lbs.; ability to travel to various sites and locations.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
