The role involves overseeing the underwriting of surety bonds, managing risk selection, developing relationships, and ensuring profitability while leading a team.

Investigate, evaluate, and adjust surety bond claims; review coverage and liability; manage outside counsel and litigation; establish reserves; recommend settlements; ensure timely payments and regulatory compliance.

Manage a portfolio of commercial general liability and commercial auto claims nationwide. Investigate coverage, liability, damages and exposure; analyze documentation; develop reserving and settlement strategies; negotiate settlements; participate in mediations/trials as needed; authorize payments within delegated authority; maintain claim records; and collaborate with underwriting, risk engineering, and partners to resolve complex casualty claims.

Support state and local tax compliance and reporting, prepare filings, research tax laws, assist audits, analyze financial data for tax planning, improve tax processes and systems, generate reports, and collaborate with Accounting and Finance.

Serve as primary advocate for client needs across moderately complex accounts, ensure timely implementation of products/services, coordinate internal teams, support renewals and growth, prepare marketing materials and reports, and maintain strong client relationships.

Provide advanced administrative and operational support to Strategic Comp leaders and teams: coordinate meetings, onboarding, system access, equipment logistics, maintain org charts and distribution lists, respond to internal inquiries, support internal communications, and drive process improvements. Expected on-site four days weekly.

Evaluates and underwrites workers’ compensation insurance policies, renewals, and modifications according to company guidelines and risk appetite. Develops risk assessment models, analyzes loss histories and inspections, ensures regulatory compliance, documents decisions, and advises agents, brokers, clients, and internal teams. Monitors market and regulatory trends, supports profitable growth and retention, and may coach underwriting staff. The role is primarily onsite in Gainesville, Georgia, with one remote workday weekly and occasional travel.

Owns an Agile delivery team’s product backlog for an underwriting modernization initiative. Partners with business and technology stakeholders to define features and user stories, prioritize work, support roadmap execution, lead Agile ceremonies, resolve risks and dependencies, and deliver measurable business value. Builds stakeholder trust, facilitates alignment, communicates priorities and outcomes, and develops product leadership capabilities. Insurance, financial services, technology, operations, or business analysis experience is preferred.
