Leads account strategy and revenue growth across strategic telecommunications service provider accounts in India. Develops customer relationships, identifies and advances opportunities through the sales cycle, supports proposals and negotiations, and collaborates with engineering, product, marketing, services, and sales operations teams. Communicates customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights while potentially leading teams or cross-functional initiatives.

Maintains compliance, accuracy, and operational quality across high-volume campaigns.

Design and validate silicon photonics chips for high-speed optical transmitters and receivers, focusing on performance, cost, and reliability. Collaborate on circuit layouts, lead design reviews, support prototyping, and drive continuous improvements in product lifecycle performance.

Develop and optimize automated manufacturing test systems for photonics, RLS, and modem products. Lead global RLS lifecycle-management activities, create test software and sequences, guide design-for-testability reviews, support prototype validation, and establish production test processes with contract manufacturers. The role also integrates test stations with manufacturing systems, drives automation and continuous improvement, and provides technical guidance across R&D, NPI, LCM, repair, and manufacturing teams.

Develop physical implementation flows for advanced mixed-signal SoC ASICs, including floorplanning, power grids, clock distribution, place and route, timing and power optimization, ECOs, formal verification, DFT timing, STA, and GDSII generation. Collaborate with RTL, analog, ASIC, and tool vendor teams while developing scripts to automate backend design workflows and achieve signoff-quality performance, power, and area results.

Responds to critical customer network outages, troubleshooting Ciena optical networking and routing and switching products to restore service. The role documents recovery actions, prepares root cause analyses, supports complex incidents, participates in rotational weekend on-call coverage, and contributes to lessons learned and network recovery best practices.

Execute feature, integration, regression, and system-level validation for optical networking software and hardware. Develop and maintain test plans, validate network management interfaces and streaming telemetry, investigate defects using logs and system data, and collaborate with development and engineering teams. Contribute to Python-based test automation and support reliable product releases.

Integrate custom mixed-signal macros into ASIC flows for high-speed optical modem chips. Responsibilities include generating Verilog, LEF, Liberty, layout, SPICE, and documentation deliverables; supporting analog-digital timing handoff and static timing analysis; contributing to standard-cell digital IC design; and developing design-for-test solutions. The role requires analog design, layout, simulation, verification, Cadence tools, digital design, place-and-route, and relevant internship, co-op, or applied project experience.
