The Control Systems Engineer ensures operational integrity of ICS for critical infrastructure. Responsibilities include system monitoring, troubleshooting, collaboration with teams, and delivering training programs.

Lead administration, optimization, and security of enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN and data center networks. Configure Cisco infrastructure, monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, support cloud/hybrid connectivity, enforce Intelligence Community security standards, participate on Agile teams, and maintain documentation and baselines.

Administer, secure, and optimize enterprise Windows and Linux environments for development, test, and production. Install, patch, monitor, and harden systems; support virtualization, Active Directory, identity services, and storage. Automate administration with scripting and IaC, enforce DISA STIGs/RMF controls, remediate vulnerabilities, and provide Tier III support within Agile teams for an Intelligence Community program.

Operate and secure JWICS across Wing and SCIFs: install, configure, patch, and sustain systems; investigate malware; manage Active Directory and user privileges; coordinate with Air Force cybersecurity teams; support RMF/Xacta processes and produce technical documentation for classified environments.

Support program managers by creating and maintaining program budgets, forecasting and analyzing financial performance against baselines, managing general ledger and cash flow, producing EACs and financial reviews, overseeing subcontractor costs, performing month-end closings and variance analyses, and recommending cost reductions and risk mitigations to achieve program objectives.

Support detection engineering and threat research for cyber, EW, and PNT threats; tune detections, analyze false positives/negatives, conduct host and network forensics, integrate threat intelligence, train operators, and inform product roadmaps to improve analyst efficiency.

Provide hands-on network engineering support for design, deployment, operation, and troubleshooting of core network infrastructure for the ABMS DI Network Manager program. Manage SD-WAN, deployment code base, and system upgrades CONUS/OCONUS. Mentor staff, coordinate with leads, deliver briefings, and drive process and engineering improvements.

Support, optimize, and troubleshoot HPC clusters and job scheduling (SLURM/MSHPC); automate systems administration; modernize OS/hardware and virtualization; ensure security compliance and continuous monitoring; design and integrate replacement systems; support containerization and fair scheduling for MSFC engineering workloads. Onsite at Marshall Space Flight Center.

Perform site surveys, draft Site Survey Reports and project/operational risk plans, update drawings, coordinate outages and schedules with stakeholders, develop transition and project plans for FAA telecommunications infrastructure migration from TDM to IP, and support day-to-day district and SSC activities.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable enterprise applications. Collaborate in Agile teams to build RESTful APIs and microservices, perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, implement CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to architecture and modernization efforts supporting mission-critical operations.
