Speculative application for student roles (working student, internships, thesis projects) at Magna Powertrain. Opportunities include Bachelor/Master theses, FH mandatory internships, and working-student assignments (8–20 hrs/week) supporting engineering projects in development, design, testing and manufacturing of powertrain systems with mentoring and flexible scheduling.

Lead cross-functional automotive programs from development through production. Manage schedules, budgets, contract and customer requirements, APQP activities, engineering changes, cost-reduction initiatives, and stakeholder communication. Coordinate Manufacturing, Quality, and Materials, prepare RFQs/proposals, and use supplier portals and digital program management tools to drive on-time delivery.

Serve as primary technical contact for customers of Industrial IoT products: onboard and train users, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, manage complaints, provide product feedback to engineering, analyze recurring system problems, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve products. Role requires customer-facing support and up to 25% travel.

Manage end-to-end purchasing for production materials: sourcing, RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, purchase orders (SAP), supplier performance, cost analysis, cross-functional coordination, and process improvement while ensuring compliance and supporting supply chain objectives.

Plan, implement, and support total quality programs for automotive mechatronics, mirrors and lighting. Design quality control systems, investigate and resolve manufacturing and supplier issues, lead continuous improvement, manage project costs/schedules, and coordinate internal and external resources. May supervise staff and use formal problem-solving tools to improve processes and product quality.

Lead process development, production start-up, and production support for automotive components. Implement engineering changes and process improvements, troubleshoot and repair systems, and ensure environmental aspects of production are addressed.

Design, develop, program, and supervise plant automation and robotic systems (robots, AGVs, assembly equipment). Integrate sensors and vision, program PLCs/HMIs, troubleshoot hardware/software, support installation/commissioning, ensure safety and quality compliance, and drive continuous improvement in automotive manufacturing.

Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to plan, control and deliver customer and product programs from concept to series end. Manage schedules, costs, quality, change management, launch activities, risks, and stakeholder communication to ensure program milestones and production ramp-up success.

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and Microsoft Fabric analytics (lakehouse, data warehouse, dataflows). Build scalable data models, optimize DAX/Power Query, integrate Azure Databricks, implement RLS, support CI/CD and Git deployment pipelines, troubleshoot service issues, and train stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.

Lead functional safety for automotive systems (especially ADAS). Implement ISO 26262, create functional and technical safety concepts, perform safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA, control/data flow), work with ASPICE and PLM/ALM tools (PTC, Codebeamer, Windchill), manage requirements, change and configuration processes, and support project quality processes. International travel may be required.
