Sets technical direction for Helix’s Experience platform and broader engineering organization. Designs and implements distributed, full-stack genomic software systems focused on patient and provider experiences. Leads complex projects from scoping through production, advances AI-assisted engineering practices, establishes quality and delivery standards, mentors technical leaders, and drives cross-functional collaboration with product, design, research, scientific, and business teams.

Develop and evaluate machine learning and generative AI models using linked genomic and clinical data. Build LLM agentic systems, clinical variant interpretation pipelines, genomic representations, and reliable evaluation workflows. Investigate healthcare data quality, present findings, collaborate with bioinformatics and clinical teams, and contribute to scientific publications. The role requires strong Python, statistics, experimentation, cloud GPU, and software engineering practices, plus interest in biology and precision medicine.

Develop and maintain reliable software across laboratory systems and enterprise AI tooling. Responsibilities include building features, fixing bugs, writing tested code, reviewing AI-generated code, integrating APIs and databases, collaborating with product and stakeholders, and learning Helix’s cloud infrastructure and genomics-related domain. Engineers progressively take ownership of projects while working with AI coding agents as part of the standard development workflow.

Manage Helix’s legal operations infrastructure, including request intake, workflows, SOPs, legal technology platforms, metrics, contract reviews, renewals, vendor coordination, outside counsel, IP docketing, and corporate filings. The role partners cross-functionally with legal, finance, procurement, and business leaders to improve processes, administer systems, triage matters, and maintain efficient, organized legal operations.

Support health system and life sciences research partners using Helix’s clinico-genomic datasets, tools, and platforms. Serve as the primary data-support contact, lead onboarding and office hours, create user materials, coordinate internal technical support, gather feedback, and help refine solutions. Build clinical and genomic data-processing pipelines while collaborating with Engineering, Research, Bioinformatics, Product, Life Sciences, and Commercial teams.

Manage strategic healthcare and genomics partnerships across health systems, health plans, and employers. Lead onboarding, implementation, launch, and scaling of population genomics programs; develop project plans, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, identify risks, improve workflows, and translate partner feedback into operational and product improvements. Serve as a relationship lead and operational advisor while driving partner adoption, execution, and long-term success.

Process and verify vendor invoices through procurement software, maintain vendor master data, manage vendor correspondence, reconcile statements, assist with month-end accruals and 1099s, support prepaids and fixed asset accounting, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve AP processes and leverage AI tools for efficiency.
