Performs mechanical and ocean engineering analyses, directs CAD modeling and drawings, recommends design approaches, writes and conducts tests, evaluates data, prepares reports, supports proposals, and provides engineering assistance to manufacturing, integration, and testing activities. The role may involve domestic and international travel and requires eligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Trainee CAD engineer responsible for preparing 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings, schematics, layouts, P&IDs, and related CAD data using SolidWorks. Plan work, provide time estimates, meet KPIs, follow drafting, safety, and quality systems, and support continuous improvement and environmental initiatives.

Lead and execute complex design-by-analysis engineering projects, define scope and resources, mentor junior analysts, review and approve team deliverables, ensure quality management compliance, communicate with business units, and provide technical trainings and progress updates.

Plan, execute and close workshop projects for ROV and tooling at Harvest Ave, Dyce. Coordinate resources, vendors and stakeholders, manage budgets, schedules, KPIs and quality control, run inspections, reviews and handovers, and drive process improvements while ensuring safety and compliance.

Provide electrical engineering support for design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, and offshore operations of ROVs, AUVs, and subsea equipment. Create schematics, wiring diagrams, software updates, test procedures, and design packages; support manufacturing, factory acceptance, and offshore campaigns; interface with customers and technicians; develop cost/schedule estimates and resolve quality non-conformances.

Design and develop software for ROVs, AUVs, and subsea tooling on Windows and Linux. Handle requirements, design, implementation, and testing; maintain revision control; prepare technical procedures; mentor junior engineers; serve as technical lead on projects; collaborate across divisions and communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Up to 25% onshore travel with potential occasional offshore travel.

Maintain and administer the systems engineering requirements database (SEDB): metadata and schema management, user/security administration, queries/views, workflows, backups, installs/upgrades, license compliance, performance tuning, and automation. Support systems engineering documentation (CONOPS, requirements specs, RVTM, ICDs), provide SysML/UML modeling SME support, coordinate upgrades across IT groups, and assist system engineers with scripting, cloud instantiation, and integrations. Work may support DoD programs and require security clearance and US citizenship.

Develop, integrate, test, and maintain mission design simulations and software tools (C++, Fortran, Python). Support full software lifecycle, CI/CD, source control, coding standards, documentation, and NASA Class C compliance; collaborate with NASA civil servants and contractors.

Support logistics, transportation, and supply for submarine rescue systems: develop/review ILS documentation, manage parts/vendor data, perform data entry into LMI databases, conduct inventories and configuration audits, track obsolescence, assist with engineering change orders, and enforce QA and safety standards.

Support Integrated Product Support (IPS) by developing logistics data deliverables (IPS plans, provisioning docs, RSPL, LORA, CMMs, SDRLs). Perform lifecycle analyses, FMECA/RM&A/DMSMS work, interface with engineers/vendors, present technical findings, support proposals, and ensure compliance with military logistics standards.
