Early-career Data Analyst in Manulife’s 18-month GRO Operations program. The role supports data analytics, automation, AI-enabled solutions, dashboards, data pipelines, governance, process improvement, and stakeholder requirements. Depending on placement, responsibilities may include data solution engineering, business analysis, or development using Power Platform, Azure, Python, and Power BI. Investigate and resolve trade and cash issues, manage operational risks, improve processes and controls, communicate production updates, support technology and data enhancements, and assist with business projects. Maintain industry knowledge and strong stakeholder relationships across internal teams, advisors, call centers, and external parties.

Administers, maintains, and improves the Admin Advantage system by monitoring workflows and data accuracy, troubleshooting issues, supporting upgrades and UAT, maintaining documentation, training users, generating reports, and recommending process improvements. Build and modernize enterprise data platforms and batch or real-time pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Azure SQL, Python, PySpark, and SQL. Provide Level 2/3 production support, troubleshoot pipeline and data quality issues, resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, maintain documentation, and support reporting through Power BI. Collaborate with business and technology teams while mentoring junior colleagues.

Actuarial interns support life, health, and pension product pricing, experience studies, valuations, business performance analysis, financial reporting, quotations, and risk management. They collaborate across departments and provide analysis to senior management while gaining practical experience with evolving financial reporting requirements.

Support SOX testing and risk-based audits across Manulife’s global financial services operations. Perform control walkthroughs, design and operating effectiveness testing, identify root causes, communicate findings, validate issue closures, and apply data analytics to improve audit efficiency. The role requires collaboration across multicultural teams and adherence to internal audit methodology and IIA Standards, with opportunities to use GRC tools, machine learning, and Python.
