Lead server engineering for secure federal enterprise environments: design, deploy, patch, tune, remediate vulnerabilities, manage lifecycle and configurations, troubleshoot complex issues, produce documentation, and coordinate across systems, network, cybersecurity, service desk, engineering, and government stakeholders to ensure reliable, compliant operations.

Administer, patch, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise systems and applications in a secure federal environment. Perform vulnerability remediation, access management, incident response, backups, change management, documentation, and operational reporting while collaborating with engineering, cybersecurity, and service desk teams to ensure mission continuity and secure operations.

Develop and maintain SharePoint and Power Platform solutions (sites, lists, libraries, Power Apps, Power Automate flows), automate workflows, build dashboards/forms, gather requirements, support user adoption, troubleshoot, and ensure solutions meet security and governance requirements for federal mission teams.

Support cloud migration and modernization of NIH enterprise web and mobile applications. Design and translate functional specifications, develop and debug software, lead mobile-first solutions, perform technology upgrades for Android/iOS, document systems, optimize performance, and provide technical direction to development teams.

Provide remote support for scientific computing: daily operations, patching, monitoring, automation, backup/recovery, hybrid cloud platform operations, IaC deployments, HPC and scientific instrumentation support, network troubleshooting, and staff technical consultation.

Serve as a senior software engineering subject matter expert guiding architecture, modernization, and engineering culture for mission-critical federal applications. Provide technical direction, set coding standards, mentor teams, advise on DevSecOps/Agile delivery, identify risks and technical debt, and align delivery with SLAs, release schedules, quality metrics, and customer priorities in a classified federal environment.

Design enterprise IT and application architectures across infrastructure, software, cloud, data, security, and service delivery for federal modernization. Develop target architectures, support integration and security alignment, guide implementation teams, evaluate trade-offs and risks, document decisions, brief stakeholders, and ensure compliance and mission alignment.

Design and support secure cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS/Azure) using Zero Trust. Develop IAM, encryption, logging/monitoring, migration plans, compliance documentation, and implementation guidance. Perform secure design and technical architecture reviews, risk identification, and implementation planning. Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, application, and government stakeholders in classified or sensitive federal mission environments.

Develop and maintain operational and audit-ready documentation for federal IT systems, including SOPs, system diagrams, CMDB/CCB artifacts, release notes, knowledge articles, and compliance materials. Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity, and program teams to ensure documentation governance, version control, change management, and readiness for audits across sensitive or classified mission environments.

Coordinate day-to-day program activities for a secure federal IT program: track schedules, actions, metrics, Jira and Azure DevOps work items, maintain program artifacts, support reporting, schedule and coordinate meetings, and drive accountability across Agile delivery teams for program leadership and stakeholders.
