The Senior/Staff Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for embedded software development for the driving-related functions and sub-systems of the Zoox vehicle. They will work closely with vehicle engineers and other experts to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Zoox is seeking an embedded software engineer to join their Advanced Hardware Engineering team. Responsibilities include developing production-quality code for autonomous driving, bringing up custom hardware, and integration with Zoox's software stack. Qualifications include a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, 2-5 years of relevant experience, strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded Linux or microcontrollers, experience with measurement equipment, low-level interfaces, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

As a Senior Software Performance Engineer at Zoox, you will be responsible for optimizing and analyzing performance-critical algorithms. You will work with the software and hardware teams to meet system performance targets and establish budgets for future architectures. Additionally, you will propose and implement solutions to improve code efficiency and work cross-functionally to ensure optimal performance across the fleet.

As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will collaborate with software and mechanical design teams to define system requirements, develop test plans and validation procedures, analyze data for validation, and provide laboratory support for integration testing.

The Senior Software Engineer will develop the operating system platform for various vehicle devices, focusing on platform-level software, device drivers, and kernel-space code, with an understanding of networking and system internals.

As a Compensation Partner, you will guide HR Business Partners and Recruiting in the implementation of equitable compensation programs, conduct data analysis to inform decisions, and enhance understanding of compensation policies within the organization.
