The role requires full ASIC lifecycle knowledge, multiple tape-outs, strong scripting skills, and experience using AI-assisted engineering tools.

Design and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits and foundational IP, including ADCs, DACs, voltage regulators, and high-speed I/O. Responsibilities include circuit simulation, floorplanning, verification, tape-out, test planning, post-silicon debugging, and collaboration with architecture, layout, process technology, IP, and product teams.

Lead DFT/DFX strategy for Intel’s neuromorphic silicon program, architecting SoC-level test solutions across synchronous and asynchronous designs. Develop scan insertion, compression, ATPG, test-vector, emulation, and validation flows; collaborate on DFT, DFD, and DFM features for high-volume manufacturing. Lead silicon power-on, tester-content enablement, failure debugging, and reliability improvements while maintaining development tools and flows.

Lead applied AI research from literature review and foundational research through proof-of-concept development and production deployment. Design and evaluate machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, computer vision, and prediction models for business-critical challenges. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, strategic direction, and cross-functional collaboration while driving innovation and translating research into measurable business impact.

As a Middleware Development Engineer, you will optimize software communication libraries for HPC and AI, identify performance issues, and collaborate with teams to enhance capabilities in scientific computing.

Lead EMIB-T substrate technology development and qualification, driving supplier readiness, technical enablement, and milestone execution. Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and assembly partners in high-volume manufacturing environments. Apply advanced packaging knowledge, process flow development, FMEA, DOE, characterization methods, and statistical process control to improve yield and deliver qualified solutions.

Drives CPU performance verification methodology, circuit and timing quality signoff, process-node evaluation, frequency target recommendations, and performance, power, and area tradeoffs. Collaborates with RTL, circuit, and design teams to meet timing targets. Owns pre-to-post-silicon verification correlation and debugs circuit marginality. Requires advanced CPU circuit or backend design experience, circuit design and STA expertise, and strong execution and technical ownership.

Develop and integrate advanced semiconductor process technologies, identify process parameters affecting yield and performance, characterize materials using metrology, and create improvement roadmaps. Partner with integration, yield, and module engineering teams to determine root causes, qualify process fixes, ramp technologies to manufacturing volumes, and transfer processes using Copy Exactly Methodology. The role also requires presenting process analyses, maintaining quality standards, and promoting collaboration, accountability, and safety.

Architect and lead software development tools for Network-on-Chip and SoC development, including debuggers, analyzers, SDKs, IDEs, and related methodologies. Provide technical direction, evaluate requirements, model architectures, review code, solve complex engineering challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry technologists. Ensure software quality through debugging, development, validation, performance modeling, and correlation.
