Supports the design, integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated systems used in injection molding and secondary manufacturing. Works with robotics, vision systems, PLCs, HMIs, and material handling equipment while supporting process development, equipment upgrades, root cause analysis, reliability improvements, data analysis, and production launches. Collaborates cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, tooling, and engineering teams.

Maintains, repairs, modifies, and troubleshoots injection molding and RIM tooling. Responsibilities include coordinating mold work orders, maintaining tooling documentation and parts inventories in CMMS, checking water circuits, interpreting tooling drawings, supporting production technicians, completing safety inspections, and ensuring tools meet customer and production specifications. Develop and execute regional commodity purchasing strategies for resins and paint across the Americas. Manage supplier sourcing, RFQs, negotiations, contracts, cost structures, risk mitigation, savings initiatives, and supplier consolidation. Lead cross-functional teams involving engineering, logistics, quality, and program management while optimizing total cost, supply continuity, and purchasing leverage. The role requires automotive or manufacturing purchasing experience, supplier relationship management, strategic planning, and up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Supports automotive engineering projects and division-wide change management initiatives. Coordinates cross-functional teams, timelines, milestones, approvals, documentation, trials, validations, and implementation activities. Evaluates impacts of product, process, equipment, and tooling changes on quality, production, capacity, cost, timing, and customer requirements. Supports APQP, continuous improvement, equipment commissioning, quoting, CAD documentation, quality improvement, and project reporting to management and customers.

Maintains and controls computerized cost accounting and inventory systems. Prepares cost analysis reports and estimates covering labor, materials, overhead, and other costs using historical data when needed. Implements and follows cost accounting policies, systems, and procedures while supporting management reporting in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Develop and implement commodity purchasing strategies for automotive components. Manage RFQs, supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracts, cost structures, risk mitigation, supplier consolidation, and cost-saving initiatives. Lead cross-functional teams with engineering, program management, logistics, production controls, and quality departments. Support supplier development, global purchasing leverage, and compliance with automotive quality, environmental, safety, and purchasing standards. The role requires automotive or manufacturing purchasing experience, electronics commodity knowledge, and up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Leads the human resources function for the division, overseeing training, skills assessment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment, performance reviews, succession planning, policy administration, regulatory compliance, and health and safety support. Advises management, maintains employee handbooks and HR policies, coordinates audits and employee communications, supports workforce planning, and promotes a positive employee-relations climate.

Develops injection-molding process simulations for thermoplastic automotive components using Autodesk Moldflow. Analyzes filling, packing, cooling, warpage, gating, cavitation, material behavior, fiber orientation, residual stresses, and weld lines. Collaborates with engineering, tooling, manufacturing, customers, and program teams to optimize part and tool designs, resolve root causes, support tool trials, correlate results with production parts, and meet program deliverables. Maintains analysis standards, reports, documentation, and project timing while pursuing Moldflow training and certification.

Provide engineering support to design and manufacture fixtures, machines, and tools while ensuring ergonomic, safety, and regulatory compliance. Conduct plant hazard surveys, assist with FMEA, and support OSHA, ISO 14001, quality, environmental, and material management systems. Promote safety and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Support deployment, commissioning, programming, and integration of automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, robotics, vision, AMRs) across manufacturing sites. Troubleshoot systems, collaborate with plant teams, vendors and integrators, drive standardization and scaling of automation best practices, and improve operational uptime and efficiency.
