Own global expansion for Remitly's wallet and card infrastructure, including market launches, core banking and payment integrations, money movement rails, CRM integration, and fraud and compliance infrastructure. Manage the expansion roadmap, partner with engineering and risk stakeholders, define scalable technical solutions, and deliver business outcomes across multiple markets.

Build complete applications, workflow automations, and basic AI agents using AI coding tools. Translate customer needs into specifications, deploy solutions, measure usage and outcomes, evaluate AI-generated code for security and reliability, identify automation opportunities through customer conversations, and document effective prompts and development patterns.

Leads Remitly’s global financial crime intelligence and strategic investigations function, covering high-risk typologies, detection strategy, complex investigations, law enforcement and FIU engagement, reporting, and governance. Builds a globally distributed specialist team, establishes investigative standards, translates intelligence into durable controls with data science and engineering, and briefs executives, regulators, and law enforcement.

Own technology strategy and architecture for Remitly’s High Value Senders domain. Design scalable web, mobile, and backend systems; solve complex distributed-systems challenges; establish reliability, security, privacy, and quality standards; guide AI adoption; lead architecture reviews; mentor senior engineers; and align technical decisions with customer trust and business outcomes. The role remains hands-on through system analysis, code contributions, prototypes, reviews, and production improvements.

Owns end-to-end verification control programs across products and geographies. Responsibilities include designing and testing first-line-of-defense controls, assessing effectiveness, supporting transaction monitoring and incident response, using automation and AI, translating risk insights into technical requirements, maintaining audit readiness, and leading initiatives across verification, sanctions, and FinCrime programs. The role partners extensively with product, engineering, analytics, compliance, and operations teams.

Design, build, test, and operate high-throughput distributed backend services for Remitly’s global money movement platform. Own data models, APIs, configuration-driven systems, migrations, routing intelligence, observability, and production reliability. Collaborate with product, operations, analytics, ML, Treasury, and partner teams while supporting Tier-1 services, compliance controls, technical strategy, and responsible AI-assisted development.

Design and deliver partner integrations for global pay-in and pay-out networks. Build scalable, resilient, observable services in a cloud-based architecture while using AI-assisted development. Own service health, on-call support, SLOs, incident response, technical specifications, design reviews, and architecture decisions. Mentor engineers, interview candidates, collaborate with product and operations teams, support modernization of legacy services, and help shape technical roadmaps.
