Own the design, development, and automation of Coinbase’s routing infrastructure connecting services to Kubernetes backends. Build scalable capabilities using Envoy, Istio, Ambient Mesh, and SPIFFE; improve routing latency, reliability, and performance; enhance developer tooling with responsible AI; and collaborate with security, reliability, and observability teams to resolve complex distributed-systems issues.

Serve as the financial systems subject matter expert for Zip, NetSuite, Navan, and related enterprise applications. Translate finance requirements into scalable configurations, workflows, integrations, automations, and reporting solutions. Administer platforms, troubleshoot production issues, lead testing, create technical documentation, support month-end transformation, and train users. Collaborate with product managers, finance, sourcing, legal, security, engineers, and citizen developers to deliver roadmap initiatives and AI-powered workflows.

Own monthly close, reconciliations, financial statements, and regulatory reporting for Coinbase’s FCM and Broker-Dealer entities. Monitor capital and liquidity requirements, coordinate audits, strengthen accounting and compliance controls, support product launches, and automate scalable accounting processes. The role partners with Accounting, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams while meeting regulatory deadlines and maintaining accurate, business-ready outputs through responsible use of generative AI.

Architect and build production agentic AI systems for customer support and compliance automation. Lead technical direction for distributed systems, APIs, orchestration frameworks, guardrails, and evaluation systems. Create reusable automation primitives, improve grounding and reliability, reduce hallucinations, and mentor engineers on LLM application design and production readiness. Collaborate cross-functionally to scale AI automation across Coinbase.

Owns the strategy and execution of eDiscovery and information governance programs across business functions and enterprise platforms. Partners with engineering teams to improve EDRM capabilities, translates regulatory requirements into system controls, manages roadmaps, dependencies, risks, and audit documentation, and validates compliance tooling through comprehensive testing. The role also identifies automation opportunities, responsibly applies generative AI and workflow tools, and drives organizational adoption.

Design, build, and operate backend Go services and smart contracts that mint, burn, bridge, and reconcile wrapped assets across multiple chains. Own end-to-end delivery from smart contract deployment through API design, SLOs, and production rollout. Drive asset migration pipeline improvements, run on-call operations, build observability and runbooks, and mentor junior engineers.

Design and deliver blockchain network infrastructure and platform APIs, lead multi-quarter initiatives (chain integrations, re-architecture, data migrations), define APIs/SLOs/observability and on-call ownership, ship SDKs and platform primitives, establish data contracts, and simplify cross-chain operations to enable analytics, ML, and data engineering teams.

Lead Finance support for product launches by coordinating across accounting, tax, treasury, risk, and operations. Oversee launch reviews, perform accounting treatment assessments, design and implement controls, produce audit-ready documentation and executive reporting, and partner with Finance Engineering to automate reporting and processes. Serve as trusted advisor to business partners and manage cross-functional workstreams to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
