Leads architecture and hands-on engineering across a futures commission merchant platform, including market data, order routing, settlement, reporting, risk, and liquidation. Own and operate the production threat intelligence platform, maintaining system health, monitoring jobs, and ensuring data quality. Build intelligence-feed integrations, enrichment, tagging, and lifecycle workflows. Deliver intelligence to detections, blocklists, warehouses, and agent workflows. Partner with Security and Product stakeholders to translate requirements into technical capabilities, troubleshoot production issues, and implement durable fixes. Own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto payment flows across web and mobile. Improve latency, availability, and SLOs; build user-facing features (contacts, real-time transaction status); identify and fix performance bottlenecks; partner with product/design/backend; mentor junior engineers to reduce customer friction at scale.

Own and lead Coinbase’s developer infrastructure platforms, including CI, build systems, and deployment orchestration. Set technical direction for complex cross-team initiatives, improve build and deployment performance, manage reliability and observability, and drive platform migrations and adoption. Partner with engineering leaders, operate production systems, mentor engineers, and deliver scalable tools used across the organization.

Define the technical vision and multi-quarter strategy for Coinbase’s FinHub financial infrastructure. Architect scalable ledger and money-movement primitives across fiat and crypto, ensuring double-entry accounting, idempotency, reconciliation, auditability, reliability, and safe failure recovery. Lead complex cross-team architectural initiatives, collaborate with finance, risk, compliance, and operations stakeholders, and mentor senior engineers while improving system design and operational excellence.

Own Coinbase’s end-to-end privacy incident management program, serving as incident commander for personal-data incidents. Coordinate triage, investigation, remediation, escalations, notification workflows, retrospectives, metrics, and process improvements across Privacy, Legal, Security, Product, Engineering, and Communications. Maintain on-call readiness, build automation, analyze cloud-native environments using SQL and Python, and support privacy initiatives involving global regulations, privacy controls, and responsible generative AI use.

Lead second-line technology and security risk advisory coverage across critical domains, evaluating risk exposure, control effectiveness, policy alignment, and emerging issues. Partner with engineering and security teams to improve control design and risk outcomes, coordinate remediation across risk and audit functions, communicate risk tradeoffs, and manage and coach technology risk analysts.

Architect and deliver distributed backend systems and infrastructure supporting customer service and KYC compliance workflows. Set technical direction, define roadmaps, lead end-to-end project delivery, mentor engineers, and build reliable high-scale services using Go, gRPC, TypeScript, React, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps tooling. Partner across teams and time zones to improve platform capabilities, workflow efficiency, cost, quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance outcomes.
