Supports the Communications Department by developing communication strategies, creating content for multiple platforms, coordinating messaging across channels, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Designs and develops TEKS-aligned Reading Language Arts curriculum for grades 6–12, including lesson materials, assessments, slide decks, reading and writing tasks, and differentiated supports. Collaborates with instructional teams to refine materials using student data, teacher feedback, and implementation outcomes. Ensures curriculum is rigorous, coherent, actionable for teachers, and aligned with secondary literacy best practices.

Leads communications strategy and strategic initiatives across the District, coordinating social media, multimedia, press, digital support, and communications platforms. Manages cross-functional project scopes, plans, timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and deliverables. Builds relationships with Spanish-language media, aligns projects with organizational goals, provides team leadership and coaching, and reports progress to senior management while promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.

Leads implementation of family engagement services aligned with Texas ACE and 21st CCLC requirements, promoting student success through parent involvement and participation.

Coordinates Special Education budgets, including federal grants, state allotments, Medicaid reimbursements, and local funds. Ensures expenditures are allowable, accurately coded, and compliant with regulations. Serves as fiscal compliance officer, manages position-control and staffing budgets, and prepares financial reports, expenditure summaries, and forecasts for department and district leadership. Provides project or team leadership without formal supervisory authority and recommends solutions to improve financial processes.
