The Assistant Controller manages day-to-day accounting for multiple legal entities, month-end close, journal entries, intercompany transactions, financial statements, internal controls, compliance, audits, and cost reporting. The role supports budgeting, financial analysis, profitability reviews, and executive reporting while communicating financial information to stakeholders and non-financial teams. A bachelor's degree and at least five years of professional accounting experience are required; CPA certification is preferred.

Provides full-cycle recruiting in a high-volume environment, including applicant pipeline development, recruiting events, candidate screening, interviews, offer coordination, credentialing, onboarding paperwork, and new-hire follow-up. The role also builds relationships with colleges, trade schools, community partners, and professional associations to expand candidate channels. Requires healthcare or insurance-cycle experience, familiarity with healthcare insurance websites, strong communication skills, independence, and confidentiality.

Manages employee relations processes, including performance management, disciplinary actions, improvement plans, investigations, conflict resolution, and labor relations support. Advises managers, administers EEO and affirmative action programs, maintains employment records, analyzes employee relations trends, supports audits and leadership training, and prepares reports for senior leadership. Provides confidential, customer-focused guidance to employees across local and remote locations.
