The Director of Marketing will lead marketing strategies, collaborations, and community outreach while monitoring performance and trends for The Merchant Building.

Lead sales strategy and a sales team to grow revenue and market share across corporate, group, and leisure segments. Build client relationships, collaborate with revenue management and marketing, optimize pricing and forecasting, recruit and develop staff, and represent the hotel at industry events.

Provide administrative support to sales and marketing: answer calls, process invoices and expense reports, generate reports and proposals, coordinate event details with clients and operations, and maintain organized sales documentation.

Lead property sales and marketing to drive revenue and brand awareness. Develop and execute sales/marketing plans, manage budgets, coach a high-performing team, oversee digital, PR, and local partnerships, optimize pricing with revenue management, and represent the hotel at industry events.

Lead design and delivery of onboarding, compliance, leadership, and luxury service training across the property. Partner with People + Culture and department leaders to identify talent, maintain certifications and training records, manage LMS, coach leaders, ensure audit readiness, and analyze training effectiveness to continuously improve programs.

Lead group sales efforts for the hotel by cultivating relationships, identifying and closing group business, negotiating contracts, representing the property at events, coordinating with property leadership, and ensuring group needs are met throughout the guest experience.
