Leads mechanical engineers and designers developing electric vehicle propulsion and industrial power-system hardware from concept through production. Oversees design, validation, documentation, resource allocation, design reviews, project execution, and product launches. Provides technical guidance on architecture, manufacturability, GD&T, and design optimization while managing risks and continuous improvement. Partners with manufacturing, quality, program management, supply chain, and customers, and supports hiring, employee development, performance management, and succession planning.

Lead certification and compliance activities for battery and energy storage products from concept through commercialization. Develop certification strategies, interpret standards, coordinate UL and third-party testing, maintain compliance documentation and traceability, support safety analyses and audits, and resolve certification findings. Partner with engineering, quality, product management, and regulatory organizations to integrate functional safety and compliance requirements and improve certification readiness.

Design and document electrical systems, wiring harnesses, cable routing, and control panels using 2D/3D CAD. Produce schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs in Teamcenter, support prototypes and testing, apply engineering changes, and ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards.

Develop, test, release, and maintain embedded software for AWD products using model-based design, autocode generation, and embedded C. Define requirements and detailed designs, implement and verify units (MIL/SIL), debug on-target, and follow Automotive SPICE processes while collaborating across teams to meet program goals.

Provide manufacturing and quality engineering technical support to production, lead new product introductions, implement process and equipment improvements, perform problem-solving (8D/5 Why/A3), run DOE/DOE studies and SPC, manage non-conformances and customer corrective actions, and train/lead manufacturing teams to improve quality, cost, and safety.

Lead manufacturing engineering for new facility and production lines: design and implement assembly line/process improvements, manage capital equipment purchases and projects, drive cost reductions and APQP/quality compliance, work with vendors and cross-functional teams, enforce safety and lean practices, and support new program launches and continuous improvement.

Lead global pre-production industrial engineering for electrification programs: develop capacity models, optimize layouts and line balancing, run virtual/physical builds and time studies, integrate ergonomic designs, train plant IEs, support launches, and drive productivity and sustainability improvements across manufacturing sites.
