Leads the design, development, qualification, testing, and production of custom space electronics. Serves as the technical customer contact and coordinates cross-functional engineering teams. Develop and mature manufacturing processes for aerospace production hardware, support NPI and legacy programs, design tooling/fixtures, troubleshoot process yield, specify capital equipment, and drive continuous improvement and automation in the machine shop, including technical ownership of gear production equipment.

Develops and optimizes CNC milling and secondary machining processes for aerospace components. Creates CNC programs, manufacturing instructions, operation sequences, tooling and gauging plans, and machine-ready code. Troubleshoots shop-floor issues involving tooling, workholding, inspection, and machining processes; reviews drawings for manufacturability; estimates production times and tooling costs; supports program prove-outs; collaborates cross-functionally; and leads continuous improvement while mentoring junior engineers.

Designs and develops precision ball screw assemblies and components, creating 3D CAD models, drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation. Supports new product development, engineering changes, manufacturing tooling, fixtures, process improvements, design reviews, and ERP-related engineering processes. Collaborates with manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations, and global engineering teams to establish and standardize U.S. ball screw capabilities and best practices.

Partners with Supply Chain leaders on financial metrics, forecasting, budgeting, cost performance, inventory, working capital, and risk analysis. Develops financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools; evaluates supplier costs, sourcing initiatives, make-versus-buy decisions, and productivity opportunities. Supports transformation and process improvement projects, identifies efficiencies, and presents financial insights to functional leaders.

Supports Air Vehicle engineering tasks, provides technical assistance to engineers, and contributes to project processes and execution. Potential assignments include flight testing, product certification, customer support, and component installation. The intern works onsite as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and must relocate for the internship. The role requires enrollment in an accredited aerospace or relevant engineering degree program, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and access to U.S. export-controlled information.
