Our team in Commercial Aircraft (CAG) is looking for a Senior Finance Director. This role is located in East Aurora, New York and reports to the Group Vice President for Finance and Business Management.

As a Senior Finance Director, you will be part of the Commercial Aircraft Leadership team and responsible for:

  • Finance business partnership - enable the development and execution of division strategy through robust financial modeling and sound tactical and strategic decision support

  • Executive reporting of financial results to CAG Executive Team

  • Leading the CAG finance organization that is responsible for end-to-end financial accountability including full group, divisional, and site Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow (close, forecast, budget, expense management):

    • Sales, gross margin, and operating margin forecasting

    • Free Cash Flow review and forecasting

    • Capital investment planning, coordination, tracking and ROI analysis

    • Technical Accounting conclusions, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and internal controls

    • Internal and external audit support

  • Annual and Long-Range budgeting and quarterly forecasting

  • Active participation in major proposal activities – cost analysis, pricing, & negotiations

  • Enhancing governance to enable leadership to reduce production product cost, optimize inventory and net working capital, and improve free cash flow

  • Managing, recruiting, coaching, and developing direct reports

  • Actively advocating for continuous improvement, efficiency, and means to increase value to internal/external customers

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.  MBA/CPA is preferred. 

  • Over 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or FP&A. Aerospace and Defense industry preferred but not required.

  • Over 10 years of leading, coaching, and managing high performing finance teams.

  • Experience in ASC 606 long-term accounting and complex financial transactions and contracts

  • Demonstrated experience influencing others and/or leading and developing direct reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to advise and influence cross functional business stakeholders, including site and division leadership team.

  • Strategic mindset, ability to see big picture opportunities and proactively address with Commercial Aircraft Group’s leadership team.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and driving new processes to address business opportunities.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and with external constituencies.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve performance and results through the managing of people and teams by setting expectations, creating a culture of accountability, and providing timely coaching.

  • Ability to relocate to East Aurora, New York and be present on-site.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Manufacturing and/or aerospace industry experience highly preferred

  • Big 4 accounting experience

  • SAP experience and/or knowledge of ERP business systems

  • OneStream experience for consolidation and forecasting

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $230,000.00–$285,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
