The Junior AWS Operations Engineer role involves operating and maintaining AWS environments, writing automation code, and collaborating with senior engineers, allowing for growth into a mid-level position.

Serve as business owner for the firms Execution Management System and trading connectivity, defining strategy, roadmap, governance, and configuration. Lead U.S. payroll, benefits administration, and people compliance for a multi-state workforce. Oversee payroll accuracy, benefits programs, regulatory compliance, audits, SOX controls, vendor management, and operational improvements. Manage and develop managers, establish KPIs, drive Workday-based automation, and partner cross-functionally to mitigate risk and scale people operations.

Lead design and implementation of mission-critical platform systems and APIs, define platform architecture and standards, build enterprise-scale data and integration solutions, enforce API governance and compliance, mentor engineers, drive refactors and modernization, and coordinate platform work across multiple teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

Operate and improve AssetMark's Azure platform and AKS operations, build and maintain IaC and automation (Terraform/Bicep, PowerShell/Python), support CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), identity and security integrations, cost optimization (FinOps), and provide secondary support for data platforms and AI/agent workloads on Kubernetes.

Lead data governance and stewardship for assigned domains: run governance councils, create SOPs, implement automated data quality controls, maintain metadata, drive data quality improvements, train junior stewards, and partner with business and engineering to resolve complex data issues and operationalize governance.

Manage all aspects of fee billing cycles including calculation, validation, debiting/crediting, reconciliations, reporting, and maintenance. Review billing transactions and errors, implement negotiated fee agreements, process partner payments, perform QC, produce ad-hoc revenue analysis, and drive process improvements across cross-functional teams.

Lead enterprise strategy development and execution, partner with the CEO and senior leaders to prioritize growth initiatives, perform rigorous analysis and market/competitive intelligence, facilitate strategy-setting and scenario planning, drive cross-functional alignment, and communicate strategy across the organization.
