The Associate Director of Institutional Sales will develop and manage client relationships, raise institutional capital, and collaborate on business development within Japan.

Works with external property managers and supports debt, investment administration and development cost accounting.

Oversee day-to-day surveillance and oversight of trading functions, identify and escalate trade compliance breaches, draft and maintain trading policies, lead projects, produce reports, deliver training, collaborate with IT and front office on controls, and advise management on regulatory developments and emerging trading risks.

Lead U.S. accounting and consolidated financial reporting for Barings LLC and U.S. subsidiaries. Oversee month-end close, prepare consolidated financial statements and footnotes, manage audits, apply U.S. GAAP (ASC 842, incentive comp, loan accounting), partner with cross-functional teams, improve and automate reporting processes, support acquisitions, and manage and develop the accounting team while maintaining controls and audit readiness.

The Associate Director will lead financial planning processes, including forecasting and budget management, while providing analytical support and process improvements. This role requires interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
