Job Summary
We are seeking an Institutional Sales at Associate Director level to join Tokyo office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships and raising institutional capital.
Primary Responsibilities
- Business development and sales coverage of institutional investors, consultants, intermediaries and channels in Japan
- Relationship management and client service for existing clients and institutional investors
- Develop a thorough understanding of the firm’s investment strategies and competitive positioning across fixed income and credit, equities, multi-asset and alternatives
- Planning, management and execution of roadshows with portfolio managers
- Effective follow-up opportunities and coordination of due diligence with investment teams and supporting functional areas of the firm
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external clients to develop business relationships
- Develop deep understanding of investment management needs of clients and prospects
- Coordinate and assist in developing new investment management mandates for clients
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of strategic marketing plans to build the profile and brand of the firm and generate business opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree holder or above
- At least 5 years of experience of Institutional Sales or Product Management
- Solid foundational knowledge of finance and Broad, well‑rounded understanding of private assets
- Native in Japanese and business level of English
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently
- Open‑minded and respectful of diversity and different perspectives
- Strong understanding of Japanese culture and business practices
- Strong deadline and time‑management skills
