Designs and maintains high-speed digital hardware for Nokia Service Router products. Manage Nokia’s product compliance test laboratory in Italy, including quality systems, ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, safety, budgets, technician leadership, test planning, and regulatory standards. Provide compliance expertise to R&D, product lifecycle, and sustainability teams while coordinating testing across electromagnetic compatibility, safety, environmental, power, resistibility, and acoustic requirements. Participate in ETSI, IEC, ITU-T, and CENELEC standardization activities and resolve laboratory operational issues.

Creates and maintains structured technical documentation, user guides, API content, operational information, and web-based publications for optical networking products. Collaborates with R&D, product lifecycle management, and testing teams; manages documentation schedules; uses XML authoring, graphics, content management, defect-tracking, Agile, and DevOps tools. Ensures reusable, accurate, customer-focused content aligns with product releases, quality standards, and documentation development practices.

Supports the People Organization with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, OPEX and workforce cost management, performance reporting, dashboards, cost allocation, and transformation programs. The role analyzes financial and operational data, tracks savings and headcount targets, supports business cases and executive presentations, improves reporting processes, and partners with Finance and business leaders on governance, cost transparency, and strategic decision-making.

Leads optoelectronic assembly process development and transfer to manufacturing for optical engines. Manages engineering teams, process design, equipment, qualification efforts, vendors, budgets, schedules, risks, and product road maps. Requires hands-on expertise in optoelectronic or microelectronic assembly, automated equipment, DOE, FMEA, statistical analysis, and cross-functional technical leadership.

Develop and test firmware for embedded CPUs within custom ASICs controlling and monitoring optical network equipment. Responsibilities include collaborating on feature definition, coding, acceptance criteria, and unit testing within an Agile Scrum team, while mentoring interns and co-ops. The role requires a bachelor's degree in computer engineering or equivalent, C/C++ and Python experience, and knowledge of at least one relevant area such as digital signal processing, control theory, optical networking, optical components, or embedded CPUs.

Provide technical support and incident resolution for complex wireless networks. Design, configure, and deploy Aruba and Cisco WLAN solutions, manage authentication with ClearPass or ISE, perform root-cause analysis, follow change management, document configurations, and mentor junior team members while coordinating with vendors and senior engineers.

Performs characterization testing and analysis of optical PON modules. Assists optical designers and development engineers with testing pluggable optical modules, operates optical and electronic test equipment, automates test setups, and processes and analyzes test results. The role is an on-site, four-month-plus student coop/internship in Ottawa beginning January 2027.
