Provides remote and on-site technical support for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting customer and field issues, documenting best practices, supporting evaluations and beta testing, analyzing data, and contributing to technical projects and product improvements. The role collaborates with field and product support teams, serves customers across regions, participates in training and certification, and spends approximately 20–40% of its time in customer fab environments.

Drives technology evaluation, specifications, experiments, simulations, validation, verification, system error budgets, interfaces, calibrations, diagnostics, and architecture trade-off decisions. Leads cross-functional engineering teams and ensures subsystem and component requirements support overall product goals.

Develops and supports complex semiconductor inspection equipment involving optical, electromechanical, opto-mechanical, and motion-control systems. Diagnoses system issues, performs scientific and statistical analysis, responds to field and internal escalations, and communicates technical findings to cross-functional teams, management, and customers. The role requires strong engineering or physical-science expertise, troubleshooting ability, and proficiency with tools such as MATLAB and JMP; Python scripting experience is advantageous.
