Lead and develop a team of designers while shaping Smartly’s brand across campaigns, content, events, digital experiences, and marketing initiatives. Develop conceptual campaigns, provide creative direction and feedback, uphold visual identity standards, approve creative work, and improve creative processes and workflows. Collaborate with Brand, Content, Product Marketing, Communications, and other stakeholders to translate business objectives into compelling visual storytelling and effective creative solutions.

Partners with commercial and executive leaders on financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, KPI tracking, pricing, deal reviews, investment cases, and strategic decision-making. Manages P&Ls, forecasts, and headcount plans while improving reporting and finance processes. Design and maintain internal and external APIs, improve infrastructure, lead technical decisions, optimize availability and performance, document services, collaborate with Product and Infrastructure teams, and mentor engineers. The role involves building Node.js and TypeScript services deployed with Kubernetes and supporting rendering workloads generating billions of images monthly.

Supports enterprise customer accounts by onboarding users, delivering training and business reviews, setting up and optimizing paid media campaigns, analyzing performance, building dashboards, troubleshooting integrations, and recommending improvements. Partners with customer success, product, and engineering teams to drive platform adoption, retention, operational efficiency, and measurable outcomes across global advertising accounts.

Build and operate TikTok advertising capabilities across Smartly’s full stack, including customer-facing experiences, backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and integrations. Shape architecture and product decisions, collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams, and mentor other engineers. The role requires owning complex capabilities from concept through production while balancing scalability, reliability, user experience, customer needs, and delivery speed in a hybrid Helsinki setup.

Design and operate a governed data platform for contract-driven publishing and consumption. Build PostgreSQL-to-Debezium-to-Kafka CDC workflows, GitOps-style contract validation and reconciliation, developer tooling, Kubernetes runtimes, and DataHub catalog integrations. Define data product standards covering schemas, ownership, lifecycle, compatibility, lineage, access, and recovery. Collaborate with infrastructure, product, analytics, data engineering, and AI/ML teams to deliver reliable, reusable production data capabilities.

Lead and grow a multidisciplinary Ad Performance Recommendation team to design, build, and deploy ML-driven adtech systems. Define vision and strategy, deliver scalable production ML models, ensure privacy/security/ethical compliance, mentor engineers and data scientists, collaborate cross-functionally, and recruit talent to drive measurable business impact.

Build production-grade dbt models in BigQuery, ensure data quality and lineage, partner on instrumentation and data contracts, analyze funnels/cohorts/experiments, create decision-ready dashboards, and drive end-to-end delivery and adoption across product teams.
