Develop reinforcement learning and deep learning algorithms for dexterous, contact-rich robotic manipulation. Provide hands-on mechanical support for robotic hardware assembly in Shanghai. Leads the end-to-end testing strategy for robotic hardware, including structural, mechatronic, actuator, and sensing systems. Designs and operates test benches, integrates and calibrates instrumentation, develops Python and LabVIEW automation, and analyzes test data using signal processing and statistics. Produces test reports, identifies failure modes and reliability risks, influences design reviews, mentors test engineers, and collaborates with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems teams.

Own hardware-level functional safety for custom robot electronics. Design fault-tolerant circuits, redundant architectures, diagnostics, and safe-state mechanisms at schematic and PCB levels. Perform FMEDA, reliability block diagrams, SIL calculations, component derating, and common-cause failure mitigation. Review PCB layouts, advise system architects, document safety functions, and collaborate with firmware, mechanical, systems, and electronics teams.

Develop and refine imitation learning algorithms and datasets, mentor engineers, and collaborate on robotics autonomy solutions at RIVR.

Design, implement, and optimize communication systems for delivery robots, ensuring reliable operation and integration with cloud and supervision systems.
