Supervise workers compensation claims staff and guide the resolution of litigated claims. Responsibilities include evaluating, negotiating, and settling claims; managing reserves, diaries, quality, KPIs, and claim reviews; coaching employees; identifying subrogation opportunities; collaborating with legal, medical, SIU, and account teams; supporting mediations; and ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements, company guidelines, and claims best practices.

Manage workers’ compensation claims from investigation through resolution, including compensability, benefits, fraud indicators, subrogation, settlements, documentation, and litigation referrals. Provide empathetic customer service to injured workers, policyholders, agents, providers, and attorneys. Conduct investigations, claim reviews, onboarding meetings, and process-improvement initiatives. The role requires Connecticut workers’ compensation adjuster licensing, frequent travel to policyholder and agent locations, and remote work after required training in Parsippany.

Supports Commercial Lines strategic initiatives by analyzing and improving business processes, maintaining process documentation and KPIs, managing improvement backlogs, and operationalizing new technology and process changes. The role provides production and end-user support, coordinates incident resolution with vendors and IT, leads change-management and rollout activities, supports training, evaluates cross-functional impacts, and assists with departmental communications, compliance, onboarding, budgeting, and forecasting.
