The Consulting Actuary provides actuarial consulting services, manages client relationships, leads teams, and advises on pensions, risk management, and legislation compliance.

Provide DB pension actuarial consulting: perform individual member calculations and valuations, review client reports and member communications, support client meetings and projects, manage client work allocation, mentor juniors, conduct research, develop practice tools, and assist with surveys and statistical analysis.

Lead and deliver longevity and life insurance risk projects: pricing, risk transfer structuring, experience analysis, assumption setting, and actuarial/strategic advice. Build client relationships, win engagements, mentor juniors, collaborate across teams, and represent the firm externally.

The role involves supporting clients with insurance investment and ALM, winning projects, and delivering complex assignments while maintaining strong client relationships.

The Senior Consulting Actuary will lead client consulting, manage teams, ensure high-quality service, and develop business opportunities while providing actuarial advice on pensions and other financial decisions.

Lead and deliver actuarial consulting projects for general insurance clients, including capital modelling, reserving, pricing, risk management, model development, client engagement, project management, and business development while mentoring junior staff and ensuring governance and quality.

Manage end-to-end Joiners, Movers, and Leavers (JML) processes to provision, modify, and remove access following least-privilege and RBAC principles. Maintain auditable access records, ensure approvals, liaise with data owners and stakeholders, support audits, document SOPs, and identify process automation and improvement opportunities while collaborating with HR, IT Security, Service Desk, and third parties.

Own and improve Change and Release Management processes. Govern end-to-end lifecycle of technology changes and releases, chair CAB, coordinate schedules, ensure documentation, testing, rollback and readiness plans, run post-implementation reviews, and collaborate with technical, security, and business teams to minimise risk and improve service stability.

Coordinate large or complex pension data initiatives, check colleagues' work for accuracy and compliance, validate calculations, build testing matrices, produce trustee status reports, liaise with client managers, mentor staff, and ensure projects deliver on time and within budget.

Lead and deepen relationships with major pension administration clients, provide pensions consultancy and technical guidance, manage budgets and fee proposals, drive business development and client retention, present to clients and prospects, identify growth opportunities, manage compliance and information security risks, and coach junior team members.
