The AXI Application Engineer II supports pre-sales application activities, customer training, and technical support while contributing to product development and business strategy. They travel extensively to assist with customer system setups and provide solutions in the semiconductor industry.

Lead cross-functional development projects for automated optical inspection equipment and software from concept through product release. Manage scope, budgets, schedules, stakeholders, and phase-gate execution while coordinating Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and external development partners to meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

Manages international import and export activities, ensuring efficient movement of goods and compliance with customs laws. Prepares and maintains shipping documentation, verifies commercial invoices and shipment details, and coordinates with customers, subsidiaries, distribution, procurement, planning, manufacturing, finance, and regulatory teams.

Design, develop, test, debug and maintain Windows desktop software (C#/.NET) for motion and hardware control systems. Lead tasks, mentor junior engineers, perform feasibility studies, customer-facing troubleshooting, and contribute to architecture, documentation, releases, and process improvements.

The Electrical Engineer will design and develop high-precision electronics and semiconductor inspection sensors, involving project planning, circuit design, and production transition.

Supports engineering change management, product design updates, and technical documentation for industrial coating systems. Maintains and modifies SolidWorks models, 3D parts, and engineering drawings; assists production with engineering concerns; supports technical publications and product enhancements; and collaborates cross-functionally on manufacturing needs. The role also involves managing small engineering projects, applying problem-solving methods, and coordinating multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.

Supports global compensation programs through market pricing, job evaluation, salary structure administration, compensation planning, pay equity analysis, HRIS reporting, and data maintenance. Partners with HR and Talent Acquisition teams across the Americas, contributes to job architecture and Total Rewards projects, and helps ensure compliance with compensation policies and regulations.

Leads HR technology strategy, governance, administration, configuration, integrations, reporting, security, and data quality across enterprise HR platforms. Drives AI and automation initiatives, system implementations, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Partners with HR, IT, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders on projects and change management. Provides technical guidance, documentation, training, and mentorship while supporting global HR technology capabilities.

Leads Nordson’s global HRIS function, including team management, HR technology architecture, Workday, UKG Dimensions, Dayforce, integrations, reporting, security, automation, releases, support, vendor management, and project delivery. Partners with HR and IT leaders to align technology roadmaps with business objectives, improve operational performance, manage budgets and resources, and develop a high-performing HRIS team.

Supports global product launches and manages marketing campaigns from planning through performance tracking. Creates customer-facing content, collaborates with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering on commercialization, supports trade shows and events, and identifies ways to improve marketing effectiveness. The role requires fluent German and English, digital marketing knowledge, experience with technical or B2B products, and approximately 10% travel.
