Job Summary
The Sr. Software Engineer position is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively own, execute, and engage in software engineering activities including requirements, design, implementation, testing, debugging, release, documentation, process development and improvement, architectural assessment, issue investigation, and technical escalations.
- Lead task teams as needed,
- Mentor less experienced team members.
- May conduct feasibility studies on new and modified designs.
- May visit and interface with customers, to assess issues, resolve technical problems, and help develop user and system requirements.
- Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
- Performs work which involves conventional types of plans, investigation, surveys, structures or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Requires a BS degree in Computer Science and 7-10 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience with working knowledge of software capabilities.
- Expert knowledge of C#/.Net, developing applications for MS Windows desktop environment.
- WPF desirable
- Experience working with motion systems
- Hardware control and interface
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Advanced mathematics, especially linear algebra.
- Knowledge of vision libraries, C++, and Python a plus.
- Robotics and AI application experiences preferred.

Compensation:
Salary range for this position is: $130,000 to $180,000 annually/ per hour.

Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills
