Manage life insurance product development from concept through launch, including business cases, specifications, stakeholder alignment, point-of-sale materials, and roadmap execution. Identify market and customer opportunities, develop product strategies and value propositions, collaborate across distribution, actuarial, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and risk teams, support sales campaigns, and ensure governance, risk oversight, and disciplined project delivery.

Establishes best practices for privacy, records management, user access, fraud management, and related operational controls while coordinating regional risk initiatives.

Participate in Manulife’s Actuarial Development Program through rotations in pricing, valuation, risk management, and related areas. Responsibilities include designing and pricing insurance and annuity products, establishing assumptions, quantifying reserves, supporting regulatory and capital requirements, analyzing risks and opportunities, advising business partners, and improving actuarial methodologies and processes. The role supports progress toward FSA/FCIA designations through paid study time, exam resources, mentorship, and training.

Responsibilities include designing and developing APIs, microservices, and applications; analyzing requirements; writing unit tests; debugging; managing defects; integrating dependent systems; and documenting changes. Participants develop skills in software development, DevOps, databases, cybersecurity, Agile practices, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies while receiving mentorship and leadership exposure.

Evaluate and manage the most complex, high-impact life insurance underwriting cases. Audit underwriting decisions and medical summaries, handle appeals, fraud referrals and contestable claims, train and mentor junior underwriters, assist management with risk research and process improvements, and serve as a subject matter expert to ensure policy compliance and service deadlines are met.

Lead the architecture and integration of scalable Health AI solutions across Asia. Design secure, reusable enterprise patterns for Generative AI, RAG, agentic workflows, data pipelines, and Azure-based platforms. Partner with data science, engineering, business, security, and governance teams to translate health priorities into production-ready solutions. Establish standards, guide implementation from prototype to scale, influence roadmaps, mentor teams, and ensure measurable business impact, governance, monitoring, and risk controls.
