Serves as the regional trade compliance expert for the EU, UK, and Switzerland. Manages import/export compliance, customs and export-control classifications, licensing, sanctions screening, customs brokers, Intrastat reporting, trade systems, audits, and regulatory documentation. Advises stakeholders, interprets regulatory changes, resolves compliance holds, conducts risk assessments, and implements corrective actions. Requires knowledge of EU, UK, Swiss, German, and BAFA regulations, trade automation platforms, customs operations, sanctions compliance, Excel, and German and English fluency.

Lead mechanical design and development for laboratory automation machinery, from concept and detailed CAD modeling through prototyping, testing, validation, documentation, and production release. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams; resolve assembly and design issues; support continuous improvement; and mentor junior engineers. Apply expertise in electro-mechanical components, tolerance stack-ups, materials, manufacturing methods, and quality and compliance requirements.

Design new products and features for the semiconductor industry, produce 3D models, support cross-functional engineering, and ensure reliable product function.

Lead and manage LAS logistics, freight and shipping operations including domestic and international shipments, warehousing, carrier relations, customs compliance, and continuous improvement. Oversee a logistics team, ensure on-time, compliant deliveries, handle complex/project-based shipments (trade shows, R&D), negotiate freight contracts, maintain documentation and audit readiness, and support safety, quality and cross-functional collaboration.

Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain desktop software for semiconductor equipment. Collaborate with global engineering and application teams, troubleshoot deployed applications, ensure reliability and maintainability, manage customer changes and emergencies, and travel to customer cleanrooms for installations and onsite troubleshooting.

Develop, test, and integrate EFEM semiconductor fab automation software. Gather and document requirements, write test procedures and unit tests, debug system integration issues, review legacy code, collaborate with software and QA teams, and support system-level verification and acceptance testing.

Integrate and validate hardware and software systems for semiconductor automation products. Define system requirements, coordinate subsystem design, perform hands-on assembly, debugging, and testing, and provide on-site installation and troubleshooting at customer facilities while following cleanroom and safety protocols.

Plan, execute, and analyze experiments to develop semiconductor manufacturing and contamination-control processes. Perform root-cause analysis, prototype and translate scientific concepts into practical solutions, document results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver technology development projects.

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver new product development and customizable semiconductor automation platforms on time, to spec, and on budget. Manage risk, change control, resource loading/leveling, and stakeholder communications across globally dispersed teams while promoting program management best practices.
