Develop market-entry strategies and operating models for Airwallex’s expansion across the Americas. Assess market attractiveness, regulatory feasibility, licensing, partnerships, and competitive dynamics; translate requirements into product scope and launch dependencies; drive cross-functional readiness; resolve blockers; support executive decisions; and build reusable frameworks, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools. The role also contributes to broader CEO Office strategic initiatives.

Leads a data engineering team responsible for data modeling, batch and streaming ETL pipelines, analytics-ready datasets, data governance, and data quality. Hires, coaches, and manages engineers while setting technical direction and partnering with engineering, product, and business stakeholders. Oversees scalable data foundations across regulatory, customer, business, content, and growth domains, and advances practical AI automation and AI-ready infrastructure.

Develop and enhance payment products and transaction systems using Java and Kotlin. Design and build microservice components, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend architectural improvements. Mentor less-experienced engineers on software practices and coding standards. The role focuses on highly available, distributed, high-concurrency risk and payment platforms, including fraud detection and risk decisioning infrastructure.

Advise on payments and financial-services regulatory matters across the Americas, including licensing, money transmission, payment flows, product launches, filings, and regulatory developments. Partner with legal, compliance, risk, product, strategy, and commercial teams; translate complex requirements into practical guidance; manage external counsel; support government-relations work; and contribute to regulatory projects across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Advise on payments and financial-services regulations across the Americas, including licensing, money transmission, product launches, regulatory filings, and payment flows. Research regulatory developments, provide practical guidance to cross-functional teams, manage external counsel, support regulator and government-relations work, and help improve legal workflows using AI and other tools. The role focuses primarily on US regulation, with opportunities involving Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Leads global second-line oversight of credit, FX, and counterparty risk across Airwallex’s financial products and entities. Owns risk frameworks, appetite, limits, governance, portfolio monitoring, underwriting challenge, mitigation, product approvals, and regulatory engagement. Advises senior executives, risk committees, banking partners, auditors, and regulators while ensuring responsible growth and controlled financial exposure.

Leads Airwallex’s global corporate transactions, including private-company financings, fundraising, secondary sales, M&A, joint ventures, and strategic transactions. Advises on corporate governance, capital structure, reorganizations, licensing, and cross-border matters. Partners with executives, investors, finance, tax, regulatory, risk, and product teams; manages external counsel; and builds scalable legal processes, playbooks, templates, and technology-enabled workflows.
