Partners with Excess Casualty and Mobility Solutions underwriting teams to deliver financial and operational reporting, planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic insights. Acts as a data steward, investigates financial trends and variances, maintains reporting documentation, and recommends process, control, and technology improvements. The role requires strong analytical, communication, organizational, and financial planning skills.

Investigate commercial property claims, assess coverage and damages, estimate losses and reserves, manage consultants, negotiate settlements, document claim files, and communicate with insureds. The role includes reviewing business interruption financial statements, conducting or directing appraisals, supporting less experienced claims staff, completing required training, and traveling to catastrophe sites for assignments lasting several weeks.

Investigates, evaluates, and resolves high-severity property loss claims. Determines coverage, conducts inspections, scopes repairs, negotiates settlements, coordinates contractors and emergency services, identifies suspicious losses, and supports SIU investigations. Provides policyholder assistance, handles catastrophe assignments, supports quality control, trains property personnel, and serves as a technical resource for complex claims.

Underwrites Cyber and Technology Professional Liability risks by evaluating accounts, setting premiums and policy terms, reviewing financials and loss history, negotiating with brokers, and managing a profitable portfolio. Develops marketing plans, maintains broker relationships, explains specialized services, documents underwriting decisions, and supports product-line initiatives. Provides technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to other underwriters while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Independently underwrites complex environmental insurance policies, evaluates and prices risk, and manages broker, agent, and client portfolios. Develops profitable business through market relationships, provides analytical input to planning, and supports underwriting process improvements. Advises on legal and regulatory issues, communicates complex coverage and risk analyses, contributes thought leadership, and mentors and trains underwriters and internal partners.

Analyzes business performance, trends, competitor filings, and product-line data for personal lines property and specialty insurance. Develops advanced queries and analytical tools, conducts state and countrywide reviews, manages projects and workstreams, and recommends strategic and tactical improvements to products, pricing, technology, and business initiatives. Presents findings to product managers and serves as a subject matter expert on assigned states and products.

Manages routine to moderately complex workers’ compensation claims from investigation through resolution. Responsibilities include evaluating coverage, liability, compensability, damages, and reserves; developing action plans; conducting investigations; referring appropriate claims; negotiating settlements; and communicating with claimants, policyholders, attorneys, appraisers, and other parties.
