The A.M. News Anchor presents news stories across platforms, ensuring journalistic integrity, writing skills, and effective communication with teams and viewers.

In-person producing-focused internship assisting with writing, organizing and timing newscasts. Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and photographers, learn to stack shows, manage breaking news, update digital content, attend newsroom meetings, contribute story ideas, and aim to produce a 30-minute broadcast. Commit 12–20 hours weekly.

Anchor and produce evening newscasts, create content for digital platforms and CTV, mentor and coach junior reporters, perform field reporting and interviews, edit video, write for web and social, respond to breaking news, participate in promotions and community appearances, and manage newsroom production tasks under deadline pressure.

Report breaking and hard news for television and digital platforms. Develop sources, pitch original enterprise stories, work with photographers/producers/assignment editors, ad-lib live, participate in editorial meetings and community events, and maintain professionalism while updating newsroom on story progress.

Produce breaking-news vertical videos and set up livestreams for website, apps, YouTube and CTV. Operate OBS/vMix, collaborate with reporters/photographers, create thumbnails and headlines, pivot quickly in fast news cycles, and work nights/weekends with on-call availability.

Support news production by contributing story ideas, writing and editing stories, organizing broadcast and digital content, researching topics, and executing audience-engagement strategies across platforms while collaborating with journalists, anchors, production and digital teams.

Participate in a supervised, year-round TV broadcasting internship to apply classroom learning. Work on creative and analytical projects, learn broadcasting operations and trends, collaborate with staff, and receive a written performance evaluation upon completion. Designed for academic credit; unpaid and focused on educational experience.

Lead and manage morning and midday newscasts across TV and digital platforms. Supervise and mentor producers and Integrated Media Center staff, set editorial direction, manage breaking news coverage, hire producers, execute audience-growth strategies, plan marketing teases, and ensure regulatory compliance including FCC reporting.

Lead broadcast and digital technology strategy, manage CAPEX/OPEX and vendor contracts, oversee 24/7 engineering operations (studios, transmission, transmitter sites), expand streaming and multi-platform distribution, ensure regulatory compliance, direct staffing/training and project execution, and bridge RF/studio engineering with cloud-based digital production.

Unpaid, on-site Fall 2026 broadcast reporting internship at FOX8 in High Point. The intern will learn to write, shoot, and edit reporter packages, develop story ideas, conduct interviews, report for television and digital/social platforms, and observe newsroom operations under daily deadlines. Requires 16–24 hours/week, submission of an on-air resume reel, and reliable transportation.
