Lead and operate enterprise governance routines for portfolio intake, prioritization, reporting, and escalations. Synthesize portfolio data to surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs; prepare executive-ready materials; support Quarterly Business Reviews; and partner to design future-state governance, metrics, and operating cadences that connect strategy, finance, delivery, and decision-making.

Design, build, and maintain cloud-based, enterprise data pipelines and automation to support cybersecurity detection, reporting, and analytics. Implement ETL/ELT processes, ensure data quality and governance, integrate security tools/APIs, develop SOAR playbooks and custom automation (Python/PowerShell), and support CI/CD deployments, dashboards, and monitoring while mentoring junior staff.

Approve transactions and accounts, escalate high-risk items, support surveillance systems (SMART), advise field supervisors, and participate in system enhancements and basic divisional projects.

Lead analytics for the Risk Product team: analyze data, build KPI frameworks, dashboards, forecasts, and reports; translate insights into recommendations; partner with stakeholders; perform root-cause analysis and support continuous improvement to inform strategic decisions.

Provide expert consultation on complex financial services compliance and supervision matters. Analyze issues, support solution design, drive consistent execution across field offices, deliver targeted training, and contribute to policy and process improvements. Partner with compliance, supervision, and business stakeholders to support annual compliance initiatives and transaction reviews.

Provide legal advice and transaction support for Northwestern Mutual's 720 East CLO platform and general account investments. Review offering memorandums, indentures, engagement and warehouse agreements, collateral management and control agreements; handle amendments, restructurings, bankruptcies, realizations, regulatory matters, and liability management. Collaborate across teams, offer practical legal solutions, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced in-house environment.

Provide legal counsel on design, implementation, and administration of employee benefit programs (retirement, health, welfare), ensuring ERISA and tax compliance; draft and review plan documents and filings; identify and mitigate legal risks; support employment law matters (wage/hour, leave, investigations, terminations, restrictive covenants); collaborate with HR and other legal specialists; monitor regulatory developments.

Provide in-house legal counsel for Northwestern Mutual's $60+ billion real estate portfolio, leading structuring, negotiation and documentation of commercial mortgage loans, acquisitions, joint ventures and development transactions. Support asset management and loan servicing activities including amendments, consents, leasing, and management agreements, working closely with investment professionals.
