The Forward Deployed Engineer connects AI solutions to business needs, builds AI infrastructures, and ensures product reliability through technical oversight and leadership.

Responsible for customer service related to troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex capital equipment at customer sites. Provides tool repair, customer management, and assists with logistics tasks, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational quality of systems.

Lead customer engagement and technical programs for reticle inspection and semiconductor equipment. Drive product adoption, tool qualification, ramp, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration. Mentor and develop technical engineers while aligning roadmap with Product, Engineering, Service, and Sales to improve customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Design and build system software to run large-scale deep learning and image-processing workloads on clusters. Develop and maintain HPC infrastructure, collaborate with product teams to deliver high-quality software, and troubleshoot Linux-based, multi-threaded, multi-process, and distributed systems.

Provide onsite troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and customer support for advanced semiconductor equipment. Coordinate with customers, installation engineers, technical support, and sales; document service activity in CRM; train users and mentor junior CSEs. Maintain certifications and execute logistics, inventory, and quotes as needed.

Lead and execute service operations programs: strategic planning, cross-functional project coordination, process improvement, AI/tool optimization, program metrics, scope/schedule/budget management, change management, and people leadership (manages 2–3). Collaborate with global teams and support service delivery for capital equipment. Up to 25% travel.

Provide technical sales support and customer-facing demonstrations for semiconductor inspection products; troubleshoot yield issues; develop demos, test plans, and applications notes; support product introductions and beta testing; create training and best-known-methods; travel to customer sites to implement and validate solutions.

Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications for spectral analysis and measurement validation in semiconductor metrology. Perform requirements analysis, design features and UI/UX, implement interactive visualizations, integrate frontend with backend computation libraries, collaborate with algorithm engineers, use AI-assisted tools, write testable code, debug issues, and participate in code reviews and development process improvements.

Develop and maintain high-performance software for integrated hardware/software semiconductor systems. Build and optimize multithreaded/multiprocessing applications in C++/C# on Windows and Linux, collaborate with hardware and algorithm teams, diagnose system-level issues, contribute to architecture and design reviews, and use AI tools to accelerate development and testing.
