Assists the middle school principal with overall school leadership, student achievement, attendance, graduation outcomes, instructional improvement, safety, student services, compliance, stakeholder engagement, staffing, teacher evaluation, professional development, student discipline, extracurricular activities, and required reporting. The role also helps develop operational plans, mentors staff, and supports district initiatives.

Leads K-5 RLA/SST curriculum strategy, design, assessment systems, and implementation. Develops standards-aligned instructional materials, analyzes student and campus data, guides continuous improvement, coaches curriculum writers, and designs professional learning for lead teachers. Partners with campus coordinators and stakeholders to support assessment implementation, address challenges, and ensure curriculum quality, accessibility, and alignment with district goals.

Develops and maintains integrations between student information systems and instructional platforms, including LMS and assessment tools. Builds scripts and ETL workflows for student data delivery, validates mappings, monitors integration jobs, troubleshoots failures, and optimizes performance. Documents schemas and processes, supports rostering and synchronization, partners with academic teams and vendors, and contributes to architecture planning while ensuring FERPA and district privacy compliance.

Develops K-5 mathematics curriculum aligned with Houston ISD standards, including teacher-facing slide decks, implementation guides, differentiated assignments, and assessment materials. Collaborates with educators and academic teams to refine resources, monitors implementation, organizes instructional materials, provides feedback and guidance, and supports professional development. Requires strong knowledge of elementary math education, curriculum design, instructional strategies, communication, organization, and digital educational resource creation.

Leads campus special education services, supporting instructional quality, staff communication, compliance, data-driven student progress, transition reporting, materials coordination, and responses to regulatory complaints. Collaborates with administrators and staff to implement services for students with disabilities and improve district performance indicators.

Supports teachers through classroom observation, demonstration, consultation, instructional assistance, curriculum development, and professional training. Provides specialized instruction to students, assists with curriculum coordination and instructional material selection, supports summer school planning, conducts instructional research, and collaborates with principals, teachers, grade chairs, and parents.

Coordinates district-wide recruitment plans, talent pipelines, sourcing partnerships, candidate relationships, and recruiting platforms. Collaborates with school and department leaders to fill vacancies, provides hiring guidance, analyzes recruiting data, reports trends, and recommends strategy improvements. Leads projects and provides work guidance to team members without formal supervisory responsibility.

Leads a New Education System school by improving student achievement, attendance, graduation outcomes, instructional quality, safety, and student services. Oversees staff selection and mentoring, stakeholder relationships, legal and policy compliance, data quality, budgeting, and operational systems. Builds a positive school culture, champions change, and makes decisions affecting the school and district.
